Borowski Glass – Global Leaders in Modern Studio Glass Art
Borowski Glass stands as a world-renowned name in contemporary studio glass. The studio is celebrated for its vibrant, hand-blown sculptures that combine traditional craftsmanship with bold, modern design. As the only private glass manufacturer of its kind in Poland—and one of just a handful worldwide—Borowski holds a unique place in the global art scene.
A Creative Hub Where Imagination Meets Technique
Unlike most studios, Borowski offers artists access to nearly every known technique in both hot and cold glass processing. This extensive toolkit allows for unmatched creative freedom. Rather than limit their ideas, artists are encouraged to experiment, innovate, and push beyond the boundaries of convention.
Because of this freedom, Borowski produces pieces ranging from large outdoor sculptures to finely detailed indoor artworks. Each creation reflects a blend of color, character, and form, underpinned by the studio’s dedication to quality and artistic expression.
The Borowski Story – From Garage Beginnings to Global Acclaim
Humble Origins
The Borowski journey began with Stanislaw Borowski, born in 1944 in Moutiers, France. In the early 1980s, he started creating unique glass artworks in a modest garage. Working with nearly forgotten cameo engraving techniques and handmade tools, he developed a distinctive style that caught attention quickly.
Early Success and International Reach
Thanks to his originality and attention to detail, Stanislaw’s work was soon featured in major cities such as Kassel, Hamburg, and Düsseldorf. Exhibitions also followed in the United States, the Netherlands, and Japan, helping to elevate his profile on the international stage.
In 1990, he founded Glasstudio Borowski GmbH with his sons Pawel and Wiktor. As their reputation grew, so did the need for more space. Just two years later, the family relocated their operations to Boleslawiec, Poland, where they transformed an old property into a full-scale glass studio.
A Family of Artists and VisionariesBorowski Glass Around the World
Borowski sculptures grace galleries, museums, and private collections across the globe. Their expressive style makes them especially popular among interior designers and art collectors. Notably, the studio’s work is part of the permanent collection at the Corning Museum of Glass in New York—the world’s leading museum dedicated to glass art.
Whether indoors or out, Borowski’s vibrant sculptures infuse every setting with magic, color, and imagination. As the studio continues to grow, its mission remains the same: to inspire, innovate, and share the joy of glass art with the world.
