Digital Background

With his experience in the digital art field this initially led into his fascination with the Baroque and Renaissance eras. Along with an interest in cutting edge fashion and design, this evolved into his skull designs.
With a further move on, using vibrant colours textures Chuck has developed a new collection mixing his love of fashion and design with the vibrancy and movement of large floral patterns. Combined with texture and gold leaf each piece in the collection portrays a stunning statement.

Early Stages

Chuck is in the early stages of his career as an artist, however with his incorporation of metallic foils and leaf, and traditional patterns, he is expected to go far in the art industry.
He says of his work My arts speech is its shock value, I like to mix the vibrancy of old era art with the appeal that contemporary art in all its forms holds.

Elysian Collection

The new collection encapsulates the ‘Elysian’ of an imagined world, in which Chuck explores the relationship between the human form and this ‘blissful state’.

The beauty of the female form is presented adorned with floral elements that form a tapestry of symbolism. The titles are a nod to formidable females that features in Greek mythology, and the strength of womanhood is amplified as she poses with her natural headdress. We observe the harmony between nature and beauty, and the language of flowers, purity, hope, enlightenment, self-regeneration, and rebirth is beautifully articulated within each piece, offering a unique voice and identity.

Chuck’s styling is clearly influenced by his fascination with the art of the Baroque and Renaissance eras, and as he fuses the classical with the contemporary, a surreal portraiture is created. His love of fashion and design radiates from the canvas and the juxtaposition between antiquity and modernity is intensified with his colour palette and metallic gold leaf embellishment.

What is a Giclée Print? – pronounced ‘zhee-klay’

So, a giclée print is a high quality fine art reproduction. Archival pigment inks are sprayed on to an archival fine art paper or canvas.
Because of this, Jack Duganne coined the term ‘Giclée’, since it’s a French word meaning ‘a spray or a squirt of liquid’. The term ‘giclée print’ is used to describe the giclée printing process. Accordingly, images are created from the high-resolution digital capture of original artwork. Then they are printed using archival quality inks onto archival fine art substrates. Hence, canvas and fine art papers are used to achieve giclée prints with exceptional stability and lightfastness.
