Biography

Emily Crook – Squad Goals

Born in 1996, Emily Crook is a contemporary British artist whose work combines street art, pop culture, and fashion-led influences. She studied Graphic Design at Middlesex University, where she developed a strong visual foundation. However, after graduating, Emily chose to pursue fine art and focus on building her own distinctive style.

Emily draws inspiration from fashion, modern culture, pop art, and the street art scene. As a result, her work often features iconic figures from popular culture that shaped her early life. These familiar images allow her to explore identity, aspiration, and contemporary lifestyle in a bold and accessible way.

Street art plays a central role in Emily’s creative process. First, she creates energetic backgrounds using spray paint and hand-cut stencils, which add texture and movement. She then paints her chosen icon over the surface using acrylic paints, creating a striking contrast between raw urban techniques and detailed illustration.

Finally, Emily’s love of fashion runs throughout her work. Her figures frequently wear luxury brands or carry shopping bags, reflecting modern consumer culture. Through this blend of street art, pop imagery, and high fashion, Emily Crook produces vibrant artworks with a confident and modern edge.
