Hamish Herd – Break Away

After teaching art, at Red Hill Primary, Hamish Herd still then in his mid twenties, decided that the art world was calling. That’s when becoming a professional artist became his lifelong passion.Creating and exploring the different forms of visual arts is what makes Hamish tick. He loves nothing more then a new challenge in the creative arena, sculpting, paintings, drawing, designing and so much more is what he thrives on.

Over the last Years Hamish has produced many different types of Sculpted Creations, from Public Sculpture to Commissions both Private and Domestic. Pieces for Casinos as well as Shopping Malls and Children’s Entertainment Areas.

Previous projects for Herd Art Studio:

Suncoast Casino Durban KZN. This exciting project saw Art Forms having to create a vast number of different artistic elements, from sculpture to resin art, gold leaf paintings, specialist paint finishes and public sculpture.

Ballito Junction Mall in Ballito Durban. Our contract consisted of four ceiling mobiles and a comprehensive, ocean inspired, range of paintings as well as a decorative plate feature wall.

Salon Prive at Monte Casino in Fourways, Johannesburg. An extensive range of paintings were required for the Salon prives new upgrade.Whilst Art forms has over the years done many projects for Monte Casino.

Wild Coast Sun, Wet And Wild Water Park required Art Forms to theme and produce the Fibreglass elements of the park.From painting to sculpting and manufacturing the timbre work. To Distressing the timber shop fittings as well as Decorating the park with nautical Props and Deco.

Monte Casino Fourways Johannesburg. Art Forms had the pleasure of working on Monte Casino through many years, Sculpting, Paint Finishing triple story wall facades, Creating Sky Murals to a range of different artistic elements.
