Background

Jessie Foakes was born and raised in Essex. She would describe herself as ‘not a typical Essex girl’. Foakes has only recently moved out of her van which she spent the last year living in.

Tattoo Artist

As a tattoo artist Jessie recently transitioned her medium from skin to canvas. Consequently, only within the last few months has Jessie had time to pick back up the brushes and reignite her creative passion. Undoubtedly, her work has continued to evolve through her creative practice every day. Additionally, experimenting with new characters, colours and themes.

Style

Without a doubt, Jessie has a kind of ‘here and there’ style. Subsequently, she loves working with something super obvious and changing it into how she sees it. Indeed, a change here and there and see how we go. It should be noted she uses anything to paint with. Rulers seem to be a go to at the moment. Absolutely, I use just anything I can get my hands on. Snapped bits of wood, palette knives, pens and spray paint.
