Danny Abrahams is a self-taught landscape artist who was born in Bradford in 1977. He came to art later than many artists. In fact, his girlfriend, Danielle, bought him his first set of paints at the age of 32 after he stopped playing in a band.

From that moment, Danny became fascinated by painting. He spent countless evenings experimenting with different materials and techniques until he developed his own distinctive style. Although the learning process took around two years, his dedication soon paid off. Eventually, he left his full-time job to become a professional artist. Today, collectors can find his work in galleries throughout the UK.

Inspired by Yorkshire

Art now sits at the heart of Danny’s life. As a proud Yorkshireman, he draws constant inspiration from the dramatic landscapes of Northern England. In addition, his previous career allowed him to travel extensively, giving him countless memories and scenery to inspire future paintings.

He combines these experiences with feelings of nostalgia, creating landscapes that feel both familiar and deeply personal.

Music and Creativity

Before discovering painting, Danny devoted much of his life to music. He wrote songs and played guitar for the rock band The Hoover Dams. The band enjoyed success by performing at venues across the UK, appearing on television and playing live radio sessions.

Today, Danny channels that same creative energy into his artwork. He finds beauty in everyday landscapes and believes the ever-changing sky provides endless inspiration. Consequently, dramatic skies have become one of the defining features of his paintings.

Artistic Style

Danny prefers to work in oils on board, a medium that allows him to capture atmosphere, light and movement with remarkable depth. Rather than copying a specific location, he draws inspiration from everyday life and memories. As each painting develops, his imagination takes over, transforming ordinary scenes into powerful landscapes filled with emotion, colour and storytelling.
