One of the world’s most coveted bronze sculptors, Tim Cotterill ‘The Frogman’ wowed visitors at a leading South Yorkshire gallery, Limited 2 Art in Bawtry, Doncaster, when he showcased his stunning collection of show frogs including rare, sold out and new limited editions only available in the UK.
Tim, who joined other famous people from the art world who have previously visited Limited 2 Art in Bawtry, spent the evening chatting with fans, discussing his work and signing all frogs purchased on the evening simply with the word ‘Enjoy’.
“It was lovely to see the gallery filled with people who genuinely love Tim’s work and we had a mix of those discovering his work for the first time and those adding to their already extensive collections,” said Ruth Worsman Limited 2 Art. “One visitor purchased two limited edition frogs from us on the evening taking their total to over 70 highlighting the passion with which some people collect his unique pieces of work.”
Tim, who was born in Leicester but relocated to California during the 1970’s received gifts from the gallery team to remind him of home. Tim reciprocated by creating a simply amazing piece of work to go on the gallery’s infamous ‘Stairs of Fame’ a homage to all artists who have visited the gallery in its new premises.
Tim will be visiting a total of 9 galleries as part of his UK tour. He showed his overwhelming appreciation to the number of people who turned out for the ‘Meet the Artist’ event and for being so passionate about his work and congratulated gallery owner Ruth on her wonderful gallery.
“We have been a stockist and supporter of Tim’s for the last ten years and were delighted to welcome him on his first visit to the gallery,” said Ruth. “His work is truly unique and very special and to be able to hear what inspires him and how he works first hand was a memorable evening for us all.”
