Finalist in the 2016 Doncaster Chamber of Commerce Business Awards for Customer Service.
Gallery Owner Ruth Stone was also the lead judge in the Yorkshire Life Magazines inaugural Landscape Painter of the Year 2016 competition to find some of the most talented artists in the region.
Ruth is the owner of leading independent art gallery Limited 2 Art.
Born from a love of art and a desire to change career from her role as a Retail Manager followed by a 16 year career as a professional fundraiser, Ruth chose to open the gallery and has never looked back.
Since the gallery opening in 2004, Ruth has established an enviable portfolio of reputable publishing houses and independent artists bringing fantastic contemporary art to the high street. Indulging her personal love of art Ruth seeks out some of the most amazing artists including those that are established and those embarking on careers. This is reflected when Ruth shows you round her gallery – her stories about the artists and their pictures are conveyed in her own unique style of passion, humour and warmth.
Stairs of Fame
Additionally, contained within the gallery is the somewhat legendary ‘Stairs of Fame’ – where visiting artists create a unique piece of work for Ruth’s staircase gallery.
Surprisingly Ruth can’t draw or paint herself but one thing is clear – she certainly knows a thing or two about art!
