Andy Taylor – Abstract Landscape Artist
Andy Taylor is an abstract landscape artist based in Nottingham, UK. He creates paintings that explore the emotional impact of light, space, and memory. His inspiration comes from wild coastlines, open moorlands, and the quiet drama of nature in transition.
After many years in the corporate world, Andy returned to painting to reconnect with creativity and stillness. What began as a personal refuge soon became a calling. This journey led to the creation of Art Haus, born from his wish to share a sense of presence and connection through art.
Each artwork is built through an intuitive, layered process — a conversation between colour, texture, and mood. Rather than capturing a specific place, Andy evokes the feeling of being there: the hush before a storm, the last light on the horizon, or the intensity of solitude.
Working mainly in acrylics on canvas or board, he develops his pieces through experimentation, erasure, and response. Recurring themes include open spaces, elemental contrasts, and the balance between movement and stillness.
