Notes: Sculpted using a bespoke sculptural paste using unique ingredients to ensure a hard finish. This piece is carefully gold leafed and toned using inks and paints to give an antique and weathered look. In the centre of the sunflower, glass gel is used to create the tough texture and a crystal gel is used to add shine and intensity.

Biography
British-born abstract and sculptural artist Lu Pearl brings an inventive and tactile touch to her expansive works.
A graphic design graduate with an additional diploma in fine art, she was drawn towards abstract art inspired by its textural and emotional possibilities, particularly the relationship between metallics and light.
Lu describes her work as “not only how the piece transports emotion and experience, but also in how the textures solicit your feelings to want to reach out and touch and be part of the scene; be part of the experience.”
Lu’s work resides in many homes throughout the USA including the Austin area – where she now lives – as well as the UK.
Lu has gallery representation at Wythaus Gallery in Austin, Art Gallery Pure in Dallas and is exclusively represented by Limited 2 Art in Bawtry, Doncaster, UK.
